Here are the questions :
- What is your name ?
- Do you understand what I am saying ?
- Have you taught other tribes about fire ?
- Which wood do you burn, and which wood burns best ?
- Did you ever burn yourself ?
- Do you hunt or do other people hunt for you ?
- Do you cook with fire, if yes, what is your favorite recipe ?
- Which meat tastes best, and how long do you cook it ?
- Can you control how cooked the meat is ?
- What are the other uses of fire apart from cooking ?
Zoë
Hi Zoë,
ReplyDeleteI met a woman in my kitchen - hairy and clad in a crocodile skin - she says her name is Sharp Tooth and pretends she is the one who found fire.
She cooks quite well, in fact.
Would you like me to ask her your questions ?

My name is Sharp Tooth, and I should say it fits me perfectly.
ReplyDeleteYou wonder wether we taught other tribes how to make fire : NO, NO and NO.
Fire was far too precious, and before people found how to make fire, they could but keep it.
Did you ever read "La Guerre du feu" by Rosny ainé ?
This novel was written more than a century ago, and was a best seller at this time, maybe you should try to find it in your library.
Yes, I sometimes burnt myself. I thought it was a way for fire to show its power.
As time went, I learned how to cook. Not as precisely as you do now, for sure.
What I enjoyed most when living near a sea shore was tortoise : catch a tortoise (easy, even for an old lady as I am) whe it lays it eggs.
Cook it directly on the fire, shell downside.
Great.
You can add its eggs if you picked them, and some fresh leaves or roots.

Your great great great....... grand mother, Sharp Tooth.
